Yeah no I know. But like. When it’s your family ofc you’re gonna want to blame somebody. I def don’t think Ernest made him a liminal like tbh how even would he???
[…] his power sounds rly cool tho. He can see thru the eyes of ppl on the other side of the world if he wants. I do wonder if that has more to do w the like. Rift fixation. I wonder what he sees there. Monday said he used his power in an “unwise way.” Idk what that means exactly but I wonder if Ernest encouraged it??
Well. The glowing entity is powerful enough to manipulate and swap our abilities.
Fascinating. If he can see over such long distances, then maybe he can see right through to whatever—whoever—on the other side of the rift. [...] I wonder what would happen if a telepath looked inside Merit's head.
[...] i was thinkin this new characterisation fits his poss evolved form or whatever, actually. He was pressuring Merit to do something like. Ambitious but dangerous w his powers, and to discover them just like manipulating n augmenting our powers. I wonder what he's getting out of it. Or what he did. [...] It would fit him being not like, bad necessarily but maybe a lil selfish. Or just a lil greedy to try on more new powers. This is obvi guessing some more.
We shouldn't[......] THAT would be like. A hard sell to Jack I think.
Kind of a screw up, like Buck Peebles said. Restless. Looking for something more. [...] I can't entirely blame him, if that's the case. If I had his powers, I'd want to use them. But it does make me wonder if maybe his current state isn't due to a natural evolution of his powers, but to something that he did involving the rift. Something Merit might know about.
It's possible. Insanely dangerous, but possible. [...] Do you feel like Monday told you everything she knows about what happened to her brother? People lie.
He adores us. Convincing Monday to agree to it might be difficult, though.
i think monday told me whatever she felt she had to tell me to get us to stop lookin for ernest waters. but i don't think she was lying. [...] not that i know for sure lmao.
[...]ohhh i thought we were planning to just like, infiltrate his brain by tappin his shoulder or whatev. GOD pity i don't have that power anymore. Idk if she'd let us anywhere close honestly, she's v protective. She wouldn't accept any help or anything and kept sayin she's ok. It sounds kinda hard. We'd have to frame it like we were trying to help him. [...] Which I mean we would be, mostly, right. If we could figure out what's goin on we could help maybe find a solution.
I trust your judgement. It's probably better that she doesn't think I'm involved with this, anyway.
I mean, the option's not off the table. But if Monday is as protective as you say, getting Merit alone for this and convincing Parson to disregard consent makes things difficult.
Our Medical Division would want to help him, if they knew. But she must know that. I wonder if IRIS even knows what happened to Merit.
it was for like, yr benefit that she told me this at all i think i totally used the difficult brother scenario (sorry it was mostly a like, Exaggeration for Empathy's Sake yknow??)
We should look at those records for sure. he's gotta be registered n i wanna know whats there. Maybeee telling Monday that we just wanna help and bring in someone who could would be better received. And like, Parson's nicer and could be more convincing abt that ???
Are you apologising because you don't think I'm a difficult brother?
Getting someone's IRIS records always takes too long, but I can make a request for it today. And I agree. To the least, it can't hurt to remind her that while we may be secretive government employees, we're government employees who want to help Liminals. [...] Should we ask Parson what he thinks about this? I don't know if I
oh no you're literally five thousand tonnes more difficult but in a different way than i went along w.
She does seem to have like. Something against us n IRIS. [...] Which Ernest did too so i wonder if there's a link there. And y i think so. He's been following the ernest stuff too right he knows this could be great to know
Thank you. All anyone wants is to have their achievements acknowledged.
Burlington was taken by the Riftlands only six years ago. IRIS helped stabilise the area after it happened, but some people still see the Riftlands, rifts, Liminals and IRIS as all the same thing. A disruption to normal, peaceful lives. [...] I should really finish my Ernest Waters mystery primer so everyone can be up to date. Can I add what you've told me?
U are the most annoying brother in the whole wide world knock knock and I could give u a gold star to that effect if u wanted.
[...] That makes sense. That's p recent god a lot has happened in 6 lil years. Also god is that what we're calling your serial killer wall. [...] But yes. Limit it, though. I don't want anyone else bugging Monday. She's kinda goin thru it. Do you want to ask Parson or shall I?

What about Parson?

God. What if he like tried to tap into the rift itself that would be sooooo ballsy???
[...] n then parson could play w his powers a lil bit as well
