You can be rather brusque. And resistant to change, so if it is a you problem, it's not a fixable one.

[...] Jack cares what you think of him. For his own survival, if nothing else, because you're one of Annie's closest friends. If you're clashing even though you're both trying to get along, it's likely because he's misreading you. Sometimes all people want is the reassurance that you don't think badly of them.
